ALBUQUERQUE, NM, June 8, 2015 – Burgos Group, LLC – which manages construction, safety and facility operations at military installations – also won the No. 2 spot for the second year in a row. That company grew its revenue from $820,000 in 2010 to nearly $8 million last year. That includes a hefty 43 percent jump in revenue last year alone, up from $5.6 million in 2013.

The company increased its workforce from eight people in 2010 to 65 by last December; since then, it’s added another 20 people.

“We expect to be close to 100 employees by the end of the year,” said company President and CEO Mario Burgos. “We haven’t stopped or sat back on our laurels. We’ve got a very strong pipeline of opportunities going back five years and we keep adding to it and increasing our workload.”

The Small Business Administration named the Burgos Group its 2015 Prime Contractor of the Year for Region VI, which includes New Mexico and five other states. The company has aggressively bid nonstop on military contracts nationwide to maintain a constant workflow.

“The trick is not to focus on just what’s in your backyard,” Burgos said. “Yes, federal budgets are contracting, but the government hasn’t stopped spending and it’s a huge market.”

SBA Region ViALBUQUERQUE, NM, April 30, 2015 – The Small Business Administration (SBA) has awarded Burgos Group, LLC its 2015 Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year award for Region VI. This Region serves the five states of Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. Burgos Group was selected as the top performer of some 3.5 million small businesses in the five state region. The award is unique in that the nomination is by a federal agency, specifically the Department of the Air Force, Air Force Research Laboratory.

ALBUQUERQUE, NM, August 15, 2014 – Burgos Group, LLC has been awarded a $160 million contract for Research and Development Test Article Construction Services from the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA). This work will be performed over the next ten years at White Sand Missile Range and Kirtland Air Force Base.

While a total of four companies were awarded contracts from a pool of 14 bidders, Burgos Group stands out as the only locally headquartered company.

ALBUQUERQUE, NM, August 14, 2014 – Albuquerque Business First today unveiled the ranking of its 2014 Fastest Growing Companies – 25 companies that grew their revenues by at least 30 percent between 2011 and 2013. Burgos Group took the number two spot with 663.26% growth.

All of the companies are privately held, for-profit companies that are based in New Mexico. They have all been in business since 2010 and have had sales of at least $500,000 in 2011. Moss Adams verified the companies’ eligibility and financial performance.
