Burgos Group was contracted to renovate the interior first floor of the MSG Facility in Building 2216 at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JB MDL.) The Scope of Work required us to provide an open office floor plan on the first floor of building 2216. We removed all hallway and interior walls to the maximum extent possible; repaired the interior finishes; reused lighting and ceiling as feasible; replaced carpet and wall base; patch & repaint walls; provided electric and communications outlets in walls and completed connections to existing and/or new systems furniture as planned.

In terms of the HVAC system, we reused as much of the existing system as possible. The main chiller, ductwork and VAVs all remained. To upgrade this system, we demolished existing pneumatic controls, system and compressor, and installed a new complete control system for the entire building. The existing VAVs were tied into the control system, and new VAV actuators and control valves were installed. All ductwork was insulated. We demolished the existing auditorium condenser and provided a new unit. Circuit #2 on existing main chiller was replaced as well hot water pumps and we installed triple duty valves. The entire system was fully balanced and a complete start up and system check was performed.
